Getting There + Travel Info
Guests will fly into Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) in San José, Costa Rica.
Your journey begins with an arrival in San José on March 28, 2026,
where airport pickup and your first night’s hotel stay are included.
The following morning, we’ll travel together by group shuttle to the retreat center in Uvita.
Transportation back to the airport is also included on April 4, following the retreat’s conclusion.
Additional details—including hotel name and shuttle instructions—will be shared after registration.

What is Reiki?
Reiki is a gentle, natural form of energy healing that originated in Japan. It’s based on the idea that life force energy flows through all living beings—and when that energy is balanced and free-flowing, we feel more connected, healthy, and at peace.
Reiki supports the body’s natural healing process by channeling this energy through the practitioner’s hands, either through light touch or by hovering just above the body. It’s often experienced as calming, grounding, and deeply nurturing—a quiet return to your center.

What is Holy Fire® Reiki?
Holy Fire® Reiki is a more refined, spiritually guided form of Reiki introduced by the International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT). It is both powerful and gentle, offering deep healing, purification, empowerment, and guidance.
The energy is noticeably more refined and comes from a higher level of consciousness. It works continuously—even when not consciously directed—and supports you in releasing old patterns, reconnecting with your true self, and healing at all levels.
The word “Holy” refers to its root meaning: whole and complete. It is not religious. Instead, Holy Fire® Reiki is a high-vibrational energy that nurtures peace, clarity, and expansion—often described as radiant, loving, and deeply supportive.
Rather than traditional attunements, students receive the energy through a meditative process called Placements, which gently connect you to the Holy Fire® energy in a direct and personal way.

Do I need any prior experience to attend this retreat?
No experience is needed. This retreat is open to everyone. Whether you’re brand new to Reiki or already familiar with energy healing, you’ll be supported every step of the way.

Can I attend this retreat if I’ve already been attuned to another Reiki lineage?
Yes. If you’ve been attuned to another Reiki system (like Usui, Tibetan, Shamanic, etc.) and feel called to Holy Fire® Reiki, you’re absolutely welcome.
Some students may attend to reconnect with their practice. Others come to receive the Holy Fire® frequency for the first time.

What if I’ve already been trained in Holy Fire® Reiki? Can I still attend?
Yes. Many practitioners choose to retake Reiki classes with a different teacher, in a new setting, or simply to reconnect with the energy.
This retreat offers a fresh experience that blends certification, community, and personal transformation—all in a healing, heart-centered environment.

Once certified, you’ll be able to offer Reiki in a variety of ways:
• Self-Reiki to support your own healing, energy, and growth

• Reiki for situations, such as goals, events, conversations, travel, food, water, emotional patterns, or even ancestral healing

What if I just want Reiki for myself and not to start a business?
Absolutely—that’s beautifully welcome. Many people feel called to Reiki simply to support their own healing, growth, and connection.
You’ll still receive full certification, but how you choose to use it is entirely up to you.

Is Reiki or Holy Fire® Reiki a religion?
No. Reiki is spiritual but not religious. You don’t need to follow or change any beliefs to receive or practice Reiki.
The word “Holy” in Holy Fire® means whole and complete—not religious in nature.

Airfare is not included. Most guests will fly into Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) in San José, Costa Rica.

Will there be free time during the retreat?
Yes. The retreat includes a spacious, supportive flow. There’s time each day to rest, journal, walk the garden paths, visit the river, or simply enjoy the natural beauty around you.

What should I bring with me?
You’ll receive a complete packing list after registration. In general, bring light, comfortable clothes, a journal, swimwear, and anything that helps you feel grounded and inspired. All class materials will be provided for you.

How much is the deposit and what does it include?
A $1,000 nonrefundable deposit is required to reserve your spot. It’s applied toward your total retreat cost and confirms your place in the retreat.

After your deposit, your first installment is due 30 days after registering.
From there, monthly automatic payments are required unless you pay in full.
Weekly or bi-weekly options are also available. You'll receive a full schedule after registering, or you can reach out to request a custom payment plan
